Wie jedes Jahr, gibt es auch dieses Jahr wieder einen Camgaroo Award – Videowettbewerb für Amateurfilmer.

Das Thema: „video meets fantasy“

Hier einige Anregungen:

* Drehen Sie einen Videoclip, der das Genre “Fantasy” aufgreift.
* Setzen Sie Ihre eigenen Ideen möglichst fantasievoll um.
* Parodieren Sie Ihre Lieblings-Szene aus einem Fantasy-Film oder drehen Sie einfach Ihre eigene Version oder Interpretation der Szene.
* Auch Mystery-, Science-Fiction- und Vampirfilme lassen sich dem Thema “Fantasy” unterordnen.

Firmware update (Version 2.0.3) for the EOS 5D Mark II

Canon has announced it will release a firmware update (Version 2.0.3) for the EOS 5D Mark II DSLR that will add 24 and 25fps recording to the EOS MOVIE video functions, plus a range of other video shooting enhancements. MPEG Streamclip export – Canon EOS 7D/5D -> Apple ProRes LT

It’s really not recommended to use original files from your DSLR in Apple Final Cut Pro. You will notice some performance problems if you try to do so.

The best way to convert your files is to use MPEG Streamclip – a free tool from Squared 5.

After starting it, press -> File -> Export to QuickTime – and in the following screenshot you’ll see my settings:

You should save them on your computer as a preset. So you will never forget them… ;-)
